Students at Willow Grove Elementary in New City got an exciting visit from K‑9 Remy, Rockland County’s first Certified Electronics Detection Dog. Remy — trained to sniff out hidden phones, laptops, SD cards, and other electronic devices — joined her handler, Detective Tim Hayes, for a live demonstration showing how she helps investigators uncover critical digital evidence in serious cases.

The visit taught kids about teamwork, community safety, and modern law‑enforcement tools, while honoring Remy’s meaningful name — she’s named after Welles Remy Crowther, “The Man in the Red Bandana,” a 9/11 hero.
